Almost there...

It is hard to believe that our mission will begin on February 14, 2022 when we enter the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah. We will receive two weeks of training in the MTC. The first week is general training for senior missionaries and the next week is specialized training for the member and leader support (MLS) mission that we will perform in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. A few weeks ago we heard from the mission office and we know that we will living in an apartment in Lowell, Massachusetts. We believe that we will be assigned to assist in a Spanish language branch that is part of the Nashua New Hampshire Stake. Getting to this point has taken quite a while. We were ready to start a mission a couple of years ago. But then COVID happened, and Lynn needed a knee replacement. The medical appointments required to complete our missionary application also took more time than we anticipated. But, here are at last! We have been doing some training via Zoom with a senior missionary couple who are getting us ready. We are grateful to Elder and Sister Spencer for doing that for us. We think we are about done with buying missionary clothing suitable for New Hampshire. Very different than Arizona!
